held, which she enjoys a lot (and doesn't enjoy when she is ignored - you know what that means - screaming child). The past two weeks have been especially busy - she met lots of family on her mother's side - cousins, aunt and uncle, great grandparents, great aunts and uncle, grand cousins (we need a better term than first cousin once removed so I'm going to coin new lingo right here), and others. Steven's side of the family is not as well represented in the Washington DC area but luckily new grandparents Gail and Bob made the trip to represent. Additionally, lots of other friends have come by - she isn't quite up yet for traveling outside the house to visit (unless you count neighbors on walks). Luckily, we finally accomplished enough in the house to not feel embarrassed to have visitors - to a degree. We finally stopped pointing out to everyone the boxes that keep piling up, unhung art and pictures sitting on the floors, mail and papers hiding the nice new desk, the electrical gremlins, etc.
To keep this post simple, I'll post pictures (in no particular order) of only a few of the visitors who traveled near and far to get to meet young Melissa.
